Hailing from Christchurch, New Zealand, Andrew and Victoria Knopp are the duo that makes up the indie-pop act The Response. Determined to faithfully translate their expansive albums from tape to stage, The Response have crafted a live show that utilizes every one of their limbs and will leave you wondering exactly how a mere two people can make so much noise. The Response has shared the stage with a variety of musicians and acts including Baio (of Vampire Weekend fame), Big Scary and Kate Boy. Three years ago they released their third album, North of Nowhere and have not taken a break or even slowed down since when it comes to writing, recording and performing live. The Response spent a couple of years living in Vancouver, Canada and during that period they released the singles “You Wanted To Go” and “Hours,” which earned them global airplay and has helped increase their fan base. Produced independently, all duties from writing, recording, mixing and mastering to artwork are undertaken by the resourceful pair. The Response recently made a return to New Zealand and have released a new single called “Holding Out For Something,” which has been compared to Arcade Fire, Liam Finn and Grizzly Bear.

Contemporary pop, classic rock and many points in between is where you can find the sounds of Ben Hazlewood. Still in his 20s, he’s a fiercely independent singer/songwriter, who has the experience of someone twice his age and a broad love of music, that makes his own something timeless and wholly distinctive amidst a sea of aspiring voices. The New Zealand native has been singing since he was just five years old and never considered doing anything else. He was a finalist on The Voice in Australia, coached by Joel Madden (Good Charlotte) and has worked the globe, from London to Nashville. Hailed by EQ Music as an “artist to watch,’ Ben has returned with new music with the Mark Needham (The Killers, Third Eye Blind, Twin Atlantic) mixed “Sail Away” and will be on the road, joining Finland’s Katea and Indonesia’s Speaker First with upcoming dates in Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle and more.
