Brisbane’s Sheppard formed seven years ago and released their debut album, Bombs Away, in 2014. The breakthrough single “Geronimo” spent three weeks at No.1 on the ARIA Singles Chart and was certified 5X Platinum in Australia and Platinum or Gold in over thirty countries. The song went on to be a global hit, charting top 10 in Austria, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Poland and Sweden, in addition to charting in Switzerland and the United States. Sheppard went on to support Meghan Trainor on the North American leg of her That Bass Tour last year and they performed at the biannual Rock in Rio festival, one of the world’s largest live music events. The sextet has spent 2016 cooking up new music and has unveiled an entrée from their upcoming sophomore album with the single “We Belong.” The track was produced by long-time collaborator Stuart Stuart (The Veronicas, Small Mercies) in Brisbane and is featured in the new campaign for the 2017 season of My Kitchen Rules, the Australian cooking game show, reaching an audience of millions. “We Belong” is already proving to be in favor with radio in Australia as the track has reached No.1 Most Added.
