Five years ago, Bjørn Tveit and Hans Thomas Kiær spent their summer as workers on a farm. Without any experience, they spent their savings on guitars, a microphone and a sound card. Six months later, their first song was completed under the moniker Alfred Hall and after the second gig ever, the rave reviews started coming in and the band quickly became the band to watch out for in 2012. The debut single “So Bright” was a hit on international tastemaker radio stations and on Norwegian radio making way for the album Wilderness, which was released exclusively in Norway. The single “Lose That Gun” was featured at several short-film festivals and the video was nominated as “Scandinavia’s best music video” at the Bergen International Film Festival last year. Next, the band landed a synch placement with Netflix, using their song “Safe and Sound” on the official trailer for the Netflix original series Derek. Soon after, the Mexican beer brand Cerveza Pacifico Clara used their song “Someplace Beautiful” in their release campaign in the U.S. Last month, Alfred Hall released their latest self-titled EP globally on iTunes and Spotify through Waterfall/Phonofile – already Alfred Hall are generating some great early response on their new music. The 2013 MUSEXPO alum are releasing a new single in Norway next month through Sony Music Norway called “The King of Cape.”

Germany’s Malky is a duo comprised of singer Daniel Stoyanov and producer Michael Vajna. When Daniel met Michael, they both shared the same vision; music was their passion and their future. Together they wrote songs for various Germany pop stars but writing for other artists wasn’t the main goal for the two so they moved to Leipzig, Germany to break free, step out of their comfort zone and find their own sound. The result is a debut album that musically jumps between the past and the present, taking its roots from Motown and The Beatles, but also from contemporary artists. They’ve built up quite the reputation as some of the biggest German newspapers are declaring the album a masterpiece, giving Malky the ability to sign with every German major record company right now. The duo just finished a sold-out tour in Germany and executed very successful showcases at the Reeperbahn Festival, Hamburg and Sonic Visions in Luxembourg last year. In addition, they’ve been generating tastemaker radio support worldwide. They are scheduled to perform at Eurosonic 2015 this week as one of the buzz acts at the event followed by their next tour.

Based in Berlin, Germany, FANCI has been making music since the age of six. His sonic journey started behind the piano, which then inspired him to pick up the guitar under the tutelage of guitarist Rudy Stevenson (George Benson, Nina Simone) with whom he also began to write songs. FANCI’s early demos were heard by Diana Music & Vision Publishing, who quickly signed him, which led to his debut release of two songs under the Berlin-based indie label, Wemby Records. The tracks entered the musical landscape under the moniker of Gemini and led to regional success. From there, FANCI continued to evolve as an artist and musician and also began producing for a number of other German artists. In the midst of his production work, FANCI began to write songs for his first album, with an international appeal in mind. Musically blending rock, soul, pop, new wave and funk, FANCI draws from influences that include Jamiroquai, Prince, Curtis Mayfield, Peter Gabriel and David Bowie.
